# Staking Mechanics

Metapreme adopts a staking model where staked tokens are not descending:

**For example, If you stake 100 PREME, you will receive 100 suPREME**

**suPREMEs are Staked Utility tokens**. Once the lock time ends, you can redeem your suPREME back to PREME tokens. What is unique is that the suPREME tokens could be traded on secondary markets. 

This is where everything ties up. As a gaming hub, suPREME tokens will have in-game functions with the games that are part of the Metaopreme ecosytem, creating a web of utility for these suPREME tokens.

suPREME tokens enable the community to participate in the Metapreme DAO governance feature, airdrop, as well as in-game utility.
